He made a big mistake there apparently. Offered to defer his wages to help the club out who were struggling at the time. He done that thinking his insurance would cover his lost wages when he retired through injury. But because he retired on a recurring problem he wasn't covered. Insurance only paid out on new injuries or somethingI am missing Matt Piper from Leicester. Good winger and great lad. Read that he actally deferred his wages due to his injuries . Told a funny story on Roker Report about Jason McAteer .He ordered a pizza and was asked if he wanted it sliced into 4 pieces or 8 .Deffo 4 pieces,i don't think i could manage 8 !!!![]()
Definitely be part of itreckon he saw us on Motd on Sarrada and thought fuck it I need a slice of that.
These transfer fees will be paid in instalments, not all paid now. So a lot of it will be covered by future premier league prize/TV money etc.does anyone know - and i'm sure it's probably been discussed elsewhere on here - but where is all this spending coming from? Is it KLD family backing us? or someone else? or are we just borrowing the cash? We never "spent" our way out of L1 or the Championship so i always assumed there wasn't really any benefactor behind us...and obviously we had to spend money now to have a chance of bridging the gap from Champ to Prem...just genuinely curious as to what/where the financial situation is
And I do think that signing Lucumi will be the catalyst for a huge striker - I’d love to know what ‘project’ is getting these signings over the line but this is beyond my wildest dreams.Definitely be part of it
My memory was he signed for an additional year but agreed to be paid the same amount that was remaining on his years he had left. So if he had 2 years left he increased it to 3 years but was getting paid the original 2 years amount over the 3 year period. If that makes sense. He made a big mistake there apparently. So he lost a few hundred grand
The other story about McAteer – again, probably apocryphal – is that he was in Sheffield and saw Jimmy White on the other side of the road.I am missing Matt Piper from Leicester. Erm the absolutely massive prize for winning the play off finaldoes anyone know - and i'm sure it's probably been discussed elsewhere on here - but where is all this spending coming from? Eeeeee Aletaster was right all alongWe want the ale we want the ale
Let's say we go down this season, we'd have received about an extra £200m+ because of our year in the PL and parachute payments. Then we have sold Jobe, Watson and Ekwah for about £45m. This is after being fairly close to breaking even due to Clarke and Stewart sales the last few years.does anyone know - and i'm sure it's probably been discussed elsewhere on here - but where is all this spending coming from? Lauriente sacking his agent as we speak!I think after the PSG lad arrived, Xhaka being captain and the result at the weekend... A few more players will want to be part of the club.
It would be pretty bad!Let's say we go down this season, we'd have received about an extra £200m+ because of our year in the PL and parachute payments. If we go down we'd have to sell, but it wouldn't be a financial disaster.
