Durham's one day cup campaign

That interview from Campbell says it all. No passion, no anger, no real clue how to turn our form around ....a few excuses and no acceptance that some of our players just arnt ready / good enough.
If thats coming from the leadership then we are goosed.
Showing nothing of that famous Aussie will to win mentality.....he unfortunately sounds broken
I've been saying there's something not right behind the scenes for the last three months and it appears to me from that interview that Campbell must not have much say in decisions.

I dare say that if I had to work under those two clowns i'd be off at the end of the season.

You could well be right.....one thing is for sure, Cambo is not the same happy, excited, positive coach we heard from at the start of the season

Club is in an absolute free fall at the moment. We had a half decent T20 season but wow this is shameful
Nothing coming from the promotion / social media team either......Friday was apparently "community" day where kids went free...but nothing on Facebook etc to advertise this till the the day before the game then another post on the morning of.
Similar thing for the women when they wore the pink tops for the breast health awareness T20 fixture a month or so ago......nothing done to promote it via SM or even at the ground itself ...consequently the usual poor attendance . 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️

Communication from the club and social media has been very poor for a long time. For whatever reason they just can't get it right.

Not entirely true.

But as others have said, communication is weak. The more you get to peek behind the scenes, the more amateurish the whole organisation seems.

Yes I wondered why the social media channels are so quiet. We don’t even get match updates anymore. They want people to come to games but do nothing to encourage them

It was actually posted on the club social media on the 7th August and on their website

Think he’s off in the summer whatever happens tbh.

I thought it a bit strange that he came in for the one game at Somerset to replace Campbell.Whoever it is can have little influence whilst North is still running the show
Also says a lot that James Hilditch who was brought in by Campbell as batting coach/Assistant and with him over in Holland left the club and seemingly not replaced.

I was excited when he was appointed and I discovered that the very recently late Bobby Simpson was his grandfather. Thought he'd know all about batting with that pedigree.

...... re our very concerning one day cup campaign .... I was heading to Scarboriugh hoping for a better day .... until I saw the disgusting £33 ticket price.... absolute joke from Scarborough CC ..... they deserve an empty ground.! ....

It's obscene. I went when we played them in the CC in 2023 and wasn't impressed that it was £20 then. Was even less impressed when it poured down and we got no play after lunch.
