Harry Kane

You can only play/beat/score against what’s in front of you and all that, but the modern generation of footballers get a lot more shite put in front of them than they did 50 years ago.
Bobby Charlton scored 12 competitive goals. 5 were against Luxembourg, 2 against Wales and 1 against North Ireland.

He should be dropping deep, it's the best part of his game and we should build our attack around it.

In the last Euros we shunted up front and took away his playmaking ability to try and force shoehorn in Foden and Bellingham. Kane should be number one priority.
Agreed, I saw him play for Bayern v Dortmund a couple of years ago, at times he ran the game from deep but still managed to score a hatrick of tap ins as quality of supply was much better than he has been getting for England recently.

Another goal, another trophy for Harry as Bayern win the German Super Cup. I expect to see him back in the PL for the 26/27 season.

Another? That's 2 isn't it?
Whereas the team he left won one that's more important that both added together

Think I’d take the bundesliga title over what ever the fuck uefa have relegated the none champions league trophies to these days.
What, the league of 1 team competing with itself for the title every year? Its up there with the Jock league after Rangers were relegated to the bottom.

They've won it 12 times in the last 13. That's not a real title win, dear me. Its a joke.

I think he’s saying if you take away the goals Charlton scored in friendlies and the Home Nations, that only leaves around a dozen goals and some of those were against poor opposition.
Cheers, was struggling. Thought he was saying they were his only competitive goals!

PS I wouldn’t undervalue the home internationals either!

Friendlies can suck my arse though, agreed.

I was saying that, although I miscounted, the number is 14. He scored 14 non-friendly or home international goals. And of those, 5 were against Luxembourg, 2 against Wales and 1 against NI.

My point was that this idea that goalscorers of the past used to rattle in loads of goals in competitive matches against the elite is piffle.

And if you wanna include our home interational games as elite games, you'll get an extra 13 goals. Against Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
