There's no issue from me with 2 left footed CBs in a first XI

The issue is the make up of our squad. We have 3 designated left backs, all of whom are probably premier level (jury out on Cirkin but it's possible). Plus we have 3 left footed centre backs who can plan left back in a crisis

We don't have that on the right, and if we play Sadiki we're eating into the midfield quality (and he was apparently a bit shit there for Saint G)

I really don't think it's hard to see why buying a player who can play in both Ballard and Hume's positions is thought by some to be a sensible idea. They're two of the only remaining players from last season in the first XI, and they play next to each other. If either one doesn't step up, it's a glaring area of weakness in our team.

Have to say I’d be happy with 2 quality CB’s regardless which foot they preferred.
Agree re our shortcomings at RB. Not enthused about possibility of Huggins being drafted in and agree it might be a loss if Sadiki was removed from M/F but needs must etc. In short term I reckon O9 could do a passable job, but bringing in a traditional RB would be the go

Think we need better than Alderete, Mukiele, Ballard and O’Nien as our CB options personally.

Mukiele would be good cover for RB and CB but I think we need another ‘proper’ CB to partner Alderete as well.
