Premier league rule. Back of striped shirts solid colour?

I don’t buy the whole commentator thing

How often have you heard a commentator in recent years go “it’s Crouch on the ball, oh no sorry it’s Defoe”

They should be clued up anyway by where the player is on the pitch, running style, etc

And does it ruin your tv watching experience if they do get someone’s name wrong once or twice?

I was reminded that a massive red back panel looks bad too, possibly worse, when watching Sheff U the other night

Possible ours looks better
No. Number not visible enough. Good idea to have a large number on a white background - especially when there are a bewildering array of new faces at the start of season, and within each game a number of barely recognisable substitutes.
Stupid rule. Someone will have come up with that idea and got a fortune no doubt. Didnt matter for the previous 100 years.
It didn't when practically the same eleven, with only one substitute (none before 1965) turned out.

TV commentators can’t pronounce players’ names right half the time. Was it Andy Hinchcliffe who kept saying “Luke O’Neen”?

Asking them to memorise a player’s running style etc is a step too far when there’s at least 500 players in the PL.

Looked ok in the end I thought. Reminded me a bit of the old shirts with VAUX in a white box. I’m a big believer in our shirts being fully striped but this wasn’t worth the meltdown I saw from a few on social media.
