Jhon Lucumi - Transfer Rumour

O’Nein to storm the Premier League at RCB.

It shouldn’t happen. I don’t think it will. But I can’t shake the crazy belief he might just level the fuck up again.
He’s like an editor mode on championship manager

Gone up another division? yeah will just up his stats a little bit more…. No one will notice and I’m not really cheating, just making it errrm more realistic as he’s definitely improved in real life too. Whistles

Very common for two right footers to play side by side at cb. The prospect of two left footers and people’s heads fall off!
This. It’s baffling to me too. In an ideal world, aye, one of each, but I’d say the majority of centre half partnerships throughout the history of football have predominantly preferred to kick the ball / opponent with a good old fashioned right boot!

Because we have no right backs!

We have 3 specialist left backs and 3 left footed centre backs who can play left back if you required them to step in

There’s no issue within the first XI playing two left footers, but it gives us zero additional cover at right back.

That’s why some people are suggesting specifically a right sided CB who could cover RB

It also protects us from one of Ballard/Hume - who will be next to each next season as things stand - from failing to step up

Last time I checked we had Hume, Huggins and Onein and Browne who can both play there. I am unsure of how signing a right footed cb covered the right back position?

Time will tell with Hume but I highly doubt the latter 3 will be good enough if called upon, so getting someone in the style of Singo or Diakite Bournemouth just signed would fill the RCB slot and also RB when needed at a higher standard

I swear there's not been news on this for weeks and certainly no proper news, but this thread is constantly on the front page here....What's actually happening?

I said “That’s why some people are suggesting specifically a right sided CB who could cover RB”

Because that player could then play CB or RB if needed

If you look at our expected starting line up, two of the players from last season are next to each other. It’s not surprise people are saying our next signing to improve the team should be in that area. A left footer improves CB but doesn’t improve RB

Yes Browne can play RB, like Jones can play LB (who I didn’t include in the list) - but no offence to them, I don’t think we should seriously be counting on them as players this season

Again - within the first XI, no issue with two left footed centre backs. But in the context of our squad it’s really easy to understand why some want specially a right footed CB who can cover RB

Agree with this, but if we fail to get one in apparently Sadiki has played there

Yes two very good examples of the type of player that should be the next defensive priority

Theres only so many players you can change in a summer, but hopefully after we sign the centre back we are after, and Seelt and Hjelde have gone, theres scope for another centre back who is free, or ageing and cheap etc but more capable than the ones we let go.

Could easily end up being a shock to them but bologna fans online expect him and heggem to be rotating as the left sided cb, their manager apparently said as much

I'm still hoping for the best though
There is no way a 20 mil rated cb, and a new 10 mil cb signing will both settle for rotation at Bologna. My fingers are still crossed.

Think they're in the europa league marra, their fans mentioned 4 competitions and their manager wanting 2 players for each position to rotate

I would agree with you though
