Calvert-Lewin (discussion on transfer)

Calvert-Lewin is another of those players whose injuries have lost them time on the pitch and an element of their game they can never get back. We saw what it did to Bridges, a better footballer. Paul Bracewell still had a good career but not the one that looked likely before his injury at Everton. If there was a genuine prospect of him recovering his form and fitness he'd still be an Everton player. The fact he is 28 just illustrates how quick time goes for footballers. A real shame for him. Depending on where he lives he might be able to commute to Leeds, factors like that, when in his heart of hearts he knows he might have injured spells, would influence his choices. We have taken on a lot of injury prone players, in several cases it's how we could sign them but signings for this division who are injury prone are much more of a risk.

Wouldn't have minded him here, he's a good player, but not on mega wages and obviously there are big questions marks around his fitness.

An upgrade on Bamford for them though.
