Omar Alderete 🇵🇾 Signed!

Seemingly signed in time to play a part on Saturday. Whether it's from the start or off the bench remains to be seen .

Roefs

Hume
Ballard
Alderete
Reinildo

Xhaka
Sadiki
Diarra

Talbi
Adingra
Mayenda

Subs: Patterson, Huggins,Seelt, Neil,Le Fee, Rigg,Roberts, Guiu and Isidor

Getting that CB in was crucial. That's a pretty solid enough starting line up and not too bad a bench for a team in relegation battle.
He's barely had pre season not sure he goes straight in

Basically signed 9 players who could conceivably be in our strongest 11, Hume and Ballard aside, although we may well bring another centre back in too. Not to mention Masuaku. Makes the Leeds and Burnley fans arguments about a 20+ point gap pretty redundant. I think all but 2 of that side on Saturday is certain, it’s a question of which one of Masuaku, Huggins, Seelt or Alderete play in the back 4, ie. Will Reinildo play LB or LCB, depending if he thinks Alderete can slide straight in.

It's misleading because it's not the La Liga team of the year, it's the WhoScored.com team of the year, based on their own ratings. It's a website's team of the year

It's not a bad thing to be in the team, but it's not the La Liga team of the year. That makes it sound like it's the official one
Where's the official one? Can you provide me the link on the official La Liga website with the team of the year?

Masuaku along with Guiu both need time to get up to speed, according to regis. No comments on the others that I've seen

Getafe fans on Twitter don't seem arsed about him leaving, a few saying he never seemed committed, odd after they conceded the same as Barca and just 1 more then Real Madrid last season... I think Kone was a good example of how a defense performs when a main part isn't committed.

His agent was trying to sell him to Tottenham in January, he said publicly that 4 English clubs want him and that he will leave in January or at the latest this summer. So yes, he wasn't commited, but he did his job extremely well, none of them said he wasn't extremely good last season.
Getafe is an extremely small club with a tiny stadium on the outskirts of Madrid, he wanted to play at a better level for more money. 😎

To be fair the official team of the year is biased in favour of Barcelona and Royal Madrid. Only 3 players in it who aren't from those two. The majority of players are also from Spain, showing a further bias.
