We wouldn't put Guiu or Masuaku straight into a friendly after they had no preseason, can't see us doing that for this lad for a competitive game.

Depends I guess if he has been carrying a knock or if he’s had a case of isakitus and he’s been training but just waiting for his move. Would be a risk either way so I don’t think he brings him in either tbh unless we have a behind doors friendly and he looks ready. Like you say we’ve shown we won’t just toss players in so if he’s not ready he’s not going to be risked.

Alderete is a great signing and a blessed relief but will need some time.
