This knee injury has seemed a bit odd though.

Was fine down at Shields.

Gets an injury that we give him time off to heal (can't ever remember a player being given time off for an injury, or the club confirming as much).

No reports of him then being back in training, but then starts today.

Whatever it is - knee injury or whatever, I'm glad it's resolved.

It's pre season, they don't need to risk him, let his knee heel and be back playing

More than one poster on here, including somebody who lives in his street has posted that hes been in Spain in a fitness resort spa. Sounds like hes just had to get fit and lose some weight.

I heard he went on a chocolate tour of Bruges and they had to send ghisolfi to bring him back.

I've heard three or four different rumours about Patto, any one of which would have precluded him starting today.

Clearly all bollocks and I've redacted the rumour in your post, which I had also heard, purely on a safety first basis.

Not good enough to be our no1, but too good to be our no2. I dont think he will want to sit on the bench. I expect there to be a few teams after his signature.
