Players such as Luke, Dan (contract permitting and if he stays) have a part to play this season. At the same time, nothing in life is ever handed to you on a plate. If they want to hold down a place this season they have to work harder then they have ever had to before as the levels will be higher.

The opportunity is there for them to be involved and if they do well, they will play.

I hope they make the step up as for different reasons, they deserve it and will always hold a place in our history for their role in getting us back here.

Not sure some people grasp the quality and strength in depth needed in the PL. Ideally, we have two players covering each starting position.

That last line isnt crap tbf. But it doesnt take into account the connection with the fans he has. He'd have plenty of upper championship teams after him if we sold him. I hope we dont

Ideally maybe but I’m fairly confident that isn’t the case with wolves, whu, Everton, brentford, burnley and Leeds this season. Bournemouth certainly haven’t replaced the 3 defenders they have sold and if mepham is cover they are in worse shape than we are

If we try to sell him I suspect he’ll voluntarily take a pay cut and offer to be the kit man or something so he can stay. Loves it here.

Not really, the lad would take any move in his stride as a pro but not without a lump in his throat i think .
