Boro thread

I think they will do ok
Signed a couple of very decent defenders
Problem is up top -apart from Conway ( who isn’t quick ) they struggle ?
Decent support -24000 last season
Not sure how many they sold this season but need a good start-like ourselves -momentum and positivity is key

It might look like that to you or others. It's bewilderment, frustration that I come on a Sunderland forum and see Boro fans obsessed. Look at you 22k posts on a Sunderland forum and you're a Boro fan. If I had that many as a Sunderland fan id look in the mirror and know id need to get a hobby or a life. 22k posts as a Boro fan its weird. Occasional message from time to time fine but 22k that's obsessive. I bet you haven't even posted that many times on Fmttmtmtmtm or if you have wow you do have alot of spare time and an empty life. In my life I have posted on another clubs forum zero times. Saying that tho I've seen a few of your posts in the dog thread and you seem a decent lad actually, maybe take the dogs for a walk.
Being honest, I don't see any Boro fans acting 'obsessed' on this forum.
You get the odd one trying to take the piss (not now like), but the few that do post mainly do so on threads about Boro or football in general.
Me? I post on here because I like it, a lot of my posts are in parsnip - word games etc and I also like the likes of the dog thread too (as has been said already).
Its not about having an empty life - I'm very happy with my 'lot' and give up a lot of my time to looking after dogs (ours and the ones we foster).

It means I don't get to as many Boro matches as I used to, but that's maybe not such a bad thing.

As for not having a 'derby', meh it doesn't bother me , nor most people I know.
Having a rival doesn't win you anything.

I've lived in various towns in both Teesside and County Durham and I've never noticed a lot of difference between any of the places, or the people.

Caught a bit of their game today and it made Birmingham-Ipswich from last night seem like thrill a minute stuff by comparison.

Was proper League One standard guff

Saw a lot of the 2nd half of their game. The quality of football on show from both sides was absolutely dreadful. Two really poor teams who’ll be bottom to middle of the table come end of the season.

Jones and Brittain already look to be solid acquisitions, and the signs are there that the young midfielder Kante could become a bit of a cult hero.

Still 3 or 4 players light but if we can get our targets I'm beginning to feel hopeful we can push for the play-offs.
You wernt that far off last season
No reason a new manager cannot tweak things and move the club forward .
Long long season in that division but momentum is key ..win a few early ones and confidence will rise -and it’s easier to attract players if you’ve won a few .
Our start last season was vital in our promotion push.

Nice to get an opening day win for a change. Positives where a clean sheet and a defence that did its job, nothing flash but no mistakes just solid. Worlds apart from last season.

Still to early to start making bold predictions and still lots that could happen in the transfer window.

Expecting this America LWB to sign this week. We then need a striker and another midfielder. Hopeful we can take advantage of the loan market to bulk the squad out.

Finnaly thing - Its great to have the Footy back.

Your turn next week lads
