Omar Alderete 🇵🇾 Signed!

Tell ya what. Fair play to Seelt, done really well. If he'd been a new signing folk would be trapping themselves.
Imo...his top priority should simply be staying fit and getting a few sub apps and u21 games, ready to restart his Sunderland career during AFCON.

"Alongside Djakonam Djene, Omar Alderete was the leader of the joint-fourth best defence in the division – in a team that finished just two points above the drop. Football requires XI players to attack and defend, but no side in La Liga relied as heavily on the latter, and Alderete was the standout in their backline."

It seems he almost singlehandedly kept Getafe up, the standout CB of the defence that conceded as many goals as the champions (Barcelona) and only 1 more than Real Madrid, while only one team scored less than them, the one that finished last in the league with 16 points.

Built different players now they keep themselves in peak condition now at all times.
Don't doubt that but today we seen Xhaka almost score an OG, a pretty bad miss kick from Mayenda, a poor back pass by Sadiki last week... Being in peak condition and being ready to perform at a peak level in the prem are 2 different things. He's had limited game time in pre season, might not be as ready as we hope.

Had a scroll back through Getafes Twitter,( not including today) he didn't play the last 2 Friendlies, started just 1 on the last 4... He might need to catch up on fitness.
I was thinking about this.

For a loooong time, whenever we signed a new player, it seemed an age before they were even on the bench, let alone got a start.

Then, in January, Le Fée tips up and is straight into the first 11.

Things have changed. if he signs (please please please) and  if the injury is a pre-sale smokescreen and assuming he's fit, it wouldn't surprise me to see him line up against West Ham.

(i appreciate this is speculation heavy)

With 09 out, it leaves little choice but to throw him straight in so I think you're right.

Though if the move takes too long or if he can't play, I am encouraged by Reinildos performances, I'm sure he's ready to partner Ballard.

He was in the team of the season for La Liga, wasn’t he?

Do people think we wouldn’t hoy Xhaka in, without match fitness, in a midfield injury crisis? Because that’s not a million miles off what people are arguing. He’s clearly our most experienced and senior centre back, instantly.

Hopefully Onien is kept well away from 1st 11 and even subs bench, he simply is not good enough.
