Harry Maguire (possible transfer rumour?)

He's a much better player than most fans and the mainstream media would have ypu believe. But wages wise its never going to happen.

I don't buy into this obessesion that's developing with pace at the back. Ballard can run over distance and Maguire has enough about him to not get continually exposed in run of the mill games as part of an organised system. Play high (which we absolutely can't and won't do regularly) and ask him to run and chase in one on one defending regularly and it would be an issue. Under Le Bris I expect us to more compact, organised and deep, though some pace would help.

This isn’t going to happen given he’s United’s most reliable centre back and most available centre back but he’d be an outstanding signing for any club outside the top seven or eight teams

Why do we always get "he's on £xxxx xxxx so nee chance" comments? He wont get that anywhere else, not just here. If he wants to play footy, he'll know fine well he wont get that anywhere else and will need to compromise.

Would be a fair few clubs interested if he was available including European teams. Of course would be an incredible signing but I doubt will happen. Have a feeling for a surprise centre half from somewhere, possibly today.

Aye but there is a difference between what we would pay and what others would pay. Plus he might get what he’s on now somewhere or more if Saudi twats come calling

Absolutely no chance, but would be perfect for what we need.
He is a far better player than often credited. Seemed to become cool to parody him as the pantomime clown.
Often dug Man United out during their shittiest days and always did well at England.
Will be on a decent wage. Won’t get Man United money at most other places though so he will need to take a salary cut (sure he can afford it) or Man United will need to subsidise them.
If I went to the Xhaka thread I would assume the vast majority would be saying the same as you initially, “absolutely no chance”.
Would be very happy if Newcastle went for him. Everton would be the obvious candidate. As with Xhaka I think he strengthens the majority of squads.
