Premier league rule. Back of striped shirts solid colour?

Let’s be honest, while the Hummel kits have generally been mint and uplifting…

This seasons home kit is a stinker.

Fortunately the away is lovely.
I really like the home top i think it's smart as fuck, but this patch is going to ruin it

Correct. This rule should be challenged by all teams that wear stripes. Next they'll invent a rule that you can't have shorts of different colour than the shirt. Clubs should stand up to these nonsense rules.
It’s probably just the first subtle move to pave the way towards eventually telling all teams in stripes that you need full solid backs, which would look complete shite and isn’t part of the identity of any of the traditional striped teams.

And aye before anyone says, I’m aware we had one like that a few seasons ago when we were in League One, and while the front was a massive improvement on the butcher apron shirt, it still looked shite and not like a Sunderland shirt at all so rightly got slammed as being shit.

Hummel did PL shirts last season so would have known the rule. That pic looks terrible but I think the fans version is better so no real problem as far as I’m concerned.
Hummel didn't have any teams in the PL last season, but still between them and SAFC they should have been looking at all the regs that playing in the PL would bring.

Quite funny that over here, Hertha and Castore got into trouble for having a solid blue back to their blue and white stripes, because the rules in Germany state the there must be a uniform pattern between the front and back of the kits. Fans have forked out €100 for a shirt the players will never wear

My DH Gate Hertha shirt is due to be delivered today. After reading this article, I'm interested to see what the back is like on mine. Saying that, with it being from DH Gate, I wouldn't be surprised if it's got a Union Berlin back.

Should be alright! The change that they've had to make is apparently including some stripes up the tailbone region, before it then becomes a plain back. Not too drastic of a change, but they will be playing in their away/third kit until it's shipped.

They are trying to mess with our identity. Go and tell Real Madrid you can’t wear white because the muck shows on tele.

It must be a new bundesliga/DFB rule, very strange. I remember that red white striped Adidas Bayern one from around 2010. It had a striped front, and a plain red back. Clubs should be able to just stick with what they've always worn for over 100 years.
