Premier league rule. Back of striped shirts solid colour?

I’d hope not someone has dropped a major bollock here. Think Hummel have designed it thinking we’re in the championship and now instead of altering the design because of the rule in the premier league they’ve just stuck a white panel on the back. Making it looks like absolute shite and now thousands of fans don’t have the “real” home kit.
I share your disappointment but don’t think many fans would swap the shirt they have bought for one of those hideous things.

Fortunately, when Xhaka lifts the FA Cup we will be looking at the front of the lads’ shirts.😉

What an absolute shite rule that affects so many historical clubs that played in stripes for 100+ years! And for what? To be more visible on TV??? Why not impose a rule to play with a giant inflatable ball so we can see it better on TV? Why not force players to wear huge helmets so we can spot them clearer on TV or better off let's make all the pitches white with coloured lines....The game is becoming a joke with all this americanization of the sport.
Not many striped shirts amongst Premier League teams. If Liverpool, Arsenal or Man Utd wore stripes the rule would not have been introduced.

When I win the Euromillions jackpot I am going to sponsor our shirt for a season.

It will have no badge other than the club crest. Just like the first one I bought in the early 70s.

How do you struggle to make something like that out ffs . I’m sure it’s a basic design principle that if you want writing/numbers to be better visually over stripes you just give the black centre a white outline, like above. The names and numbers seem to have gotten fancier and smaller fonts which doesn’t help either.

Total bollocks changing the stripes to see that number and name more clearly. Quinny’s number 9 shirt couldn’t look any more iconic there

Ruins the shirt big time. Have Hummel dropped a bollock here with the design thinking we’d still be in the championship?. Would’ve looked better just a solid red back and white name and number.

Let’s be honest, while the Hummel kits have generally been mint and uplifting…

This seasons home kit is a stinker.

Fortunately the away is lovely.

This has been posted on another thread and appears to be correct although I doubt the match shirts will actually look like that as the main issue is having the name and number visible. That image just has the number on a white background.
they will look like that sadly
