Durham's one day cup campaign

A great performance today by Durham....everyone did their bit really which makes a nice change and makes all the difference. Well done Will Rhodes .....he really really needed a day like today. Hope he can carry that forward from here.

5 of the 6 games today were won by the side batting first - which is against the grain I’d say as sides like chasing in white ball games these days.

Brilliant by Rhodes should do his confidence the world of good excellent spell with the ball.

Really good by Robbo the downside the awful spell by Drissell sorry but the lad is simply not good enough.

Amazing over 30 years as first class county so many quality seamers and pace bowlers. But never produced a half decent local spinner.
Also after match interview... What are the leadership opportunities they mention to Ollie Robinson all about?
Campbell said on commentary stint mate, that Lees would be rested a couple of games with Robinson acting as captain in those games.

I seem to recall, one of the reasons Rhodes left Warwickshire was to play more white ball cricket. He's been very good in the Blast and outstanding yesterday. Shame he has not been good enough in the CC.

I personally think teams that have affiliation with 100 teams shouldn't be allowed to enter the 50 over competition, sleep with the devil and dance with him!

Alex Lees and Ben Raine drop out of the squad for the trip to Somerset with their workloads being managed during a busy campaign.

Ollie Robinson will captain the side in the absence of Lees whilst Paul Coughlin comes into contention to feature for the first time since May.

Scott Borthwick is in line for first Durham appearance of the season in Taunton with Stanley McAlindon also in contention for his first outing in 2025.

Will Coggs survive the pre - match kick about?🤔

Looking at the two squads it looks like we'll do well to get anything out of the game.
