SOL expansion

Always thought the part of the stadium that is being scrubbed looked bland as fuck. Would look class wrapped with something.

The east stand could have B&Q or Wickes written on it and it wouldnt look out of place...

Love the stadium but the east and south stand are just and industrial unit - has always needed some brickwork or dare I say it and extension

If corporate seating is worth so much, could do a double height box area above the east stand with a single row around the rest of the stadium (once south is extended)
That would look shyte! but if it makes money im in!

I would have thought, if they want more corporate, that the East Stand would be developed. Boxes there would be more desirable than the South Stand, and more serviceable by facilities, kitchens etc.

They look small (and boring) because they are sunk a tier down. An extension would make it look much better. The glass facing idea over looking the river would be superb

The stadium of light is too big for Sunderland.

Sunderland don't have the support to sell 49k very often.

The stadium of light has been soldout only 10 times since it opened.

The original 42k was perfect. 49k is too big.
Of course it is. That's why it's sold out at 49k before the season starts.

I bet that you don’t contribute to the numbers

The stadium of light has only been soldout 10 times since it opened many years ago.

Very few games will be soldout.
Ok quote me those 10 times it's 'only' been sold out? Clearly you know more than the rest of us who attended the season after the extension when 48k turned up for every home game. Just so you know that's 19 home games.
Nonsense.

When Bournemouth Fulham come to town be back down to 41k to 42k.

Especially after a few losses.
Nonsense indeed.

Check out crowds when we were last in the prem getting pumped off the likes of Wigan.

36k to 39k.

42k is perfect capacity.

A few losses and adrift in relegation zone and we will be back down to 40k.
