Concourse artwork....

Do we have a list of all of the players added to murals yet. Saw a defoe one, really unsure when looking at our entire history how he qualifies but interested to see who got one and who didnt
So far I have seen or seen photos of:

Phillips
Quinn
Hurley
Monty
Rowell
Defoe
Sorensen
Carter

There’s also walls with slogans/words from chants and our major honours as well. Even the ones just plain red are an improvement, not to mention the banners hanging from the ceiling and bar areas.

Even the red paint and a few words makes the whole place a lot brighter and more welcoming.

I remember Murray/Fickling being asked why it was just plain grey blocks when it was built and they said that it would cost too much to maintain if painted, but compared to the other work needed around the stadium this must be miniscule.

To be fair the murals look like vinyl wrap so they'll be less cost to maintain there, that wasn't really a thing back when the stadium opened.

Glad something was done about the grey breeze blocks anyway, the extra TVs were noticeable too.

Can't remember the full list but I think the idea was 5 to be older legends, with the other 5 from the SoL period. I think with Defoe its canny to have a player that a lot of the younger fans will have actually watched, and they didn't want to use current players (namely O'Nien) for obvious reasons

"Ready To Go" was hidden behind the bins

I got the feeling that painting it made the concourse seemed even narrower than it actually is.
Not that I am against it, those bare breeze blocks made it feel you were on a building site.
Bobby Gurney should be considered
100%

The old system with the red metal rail worked perfectly. Meant the queue went alongside the kiosk and anyone waiting for their mates to pass drinks back just stood along the rail or at the end rather than the 'queue' going back towards the toilets and being 10 deep at the bar. One way in, one way out. Ideal.

Yesterday was chaos.
They’ve done that in the west stand too. Hopefully they put them back up

Is there not a painting/image of the great Shack - Len Shackleton?
Oh, on that subject, the earlier naming of loos after past greats. Surely Len Shatleton.

Really liked Sorenson. But he's not in the same league as the rest there.
