Whether it’s Lucumi, Diakite or whoever the club need to make a breakthrough in negotiations with at least one decent centre back in the next week to have him signed and ready to play in the final preseason game ideally.

Despite the fantastic work done this window, going into the first game with a centre back pairing of Ballard and Seelt is worrying, particularly if Ballard were to pick up a knock early in the game. We’d be looking to the bench and seeing Anderson or Zack Johnson as our centre half options.

Ballard or Seelt could get injured before WH game. Totally stuffed then.

Obviously some transfers are more complex than others. Looks like we’ve aimed high for experienced defenders and it’s playing the waiting game and hoping they decide to come here.

Possibly, their team that got relegated with the likes of defoe and kanoute etc was probably the most talented team of individuals to go down. Still, I'd happily swap a number of their players for ours right now if I could.

Think perseverance will pay off here. I get that he’d prefer Spain but no one there in a position to pay Bologna’s asking price. Think his choice is gonna be staying with them or coming to us. PL being best league in the world, in a World Cup season I think it’s a no brainer. His agent has done his job and got his name out there and there has been no other offers for him at Bologna’s asking price. Think it’ll happen by next week.

Not me, I've always thought we'd struggle, yes made excellent signing but the squad was woefully weak, now it's barely adequate, the defense will be blitzed week in week out, needs plugged big time, but I have no doubt the club know this and will have bodies in before seasons end.
