Sheff Wed - financial issues

Nope! Barry Bannon being linked to Boro and Millwall. Fair play to the bloke for waiting around this long when others have flown.
Amazing that Leicester are only 1/5 at home next weekend to them
They’ve done some closed doors stuff at Middlewood.

Players not being paid is one thing, but if off the field staff aren’t being paid it puts peoples homes and livelihoods at risk.
I’d imagine some of the players won’t be on mega bucks either

Have they even played a pre season match?
We had had a couple of behind the doors friendly games with York and Mansfield and due to play at Burnley on Saturday but it's in doubt as the players are discussing going on strike! I highly doubt that will happen although fans would be absolutely in support of them.

We are hoping he is offered a player/ coaching role as that may be the only way we can pay him more than 7 grand per week as that's limit implied by the EFL i think.

Im ni financial expert but would going into administration and with it assets stripped to the bare bones not be the best outcome. I know its easy when its not your club, but i cant see anyone coming in to save the club given where they are at currently and maybe having all the assets sold off and hopefully getting rid of the owner would be what saves them. Its horrible to see and i hope they can get things back in order.

What a disgraceful situation. Sorry

Cheers.

Like I've said previously, I was all a bit flippant about it all but it's actually starting to get me rather angry as the situation is becoming more serious by the day. If Bannan leaves then I believe the anger will ramp up several notches with most supporters.

I've absolutely no idea what the end game is.
Sadly, it probably ends up with an angry creditor issuing a winding up order. Chansiri would probably have no option but to bring in administrators. Makes relegation more or less inevitable, but would at least lance the boil and allow a fresh start.

Players refusing to play next friendly

I’m never one for players doing this but enough is enough. They need to take a stand. The owner is an absolute fruit loop if he thinks this is a good way of going about getting £100m for them.

Friendly at Burnley cancelled as players refuse to play!

Players told the club will not pay for accommodation for their first league game away at Leicester!
