Robin Roefs 🇳🇱 compendium

…….but its the push Patto needs
Patto’s lack of involvement in much of the pre-season, leads me to wonder whether he is away.

Does that mean that Roefs will be number 1?….or will we be back in for a more experienced keeper?

My thinking is that Roefs will be first choice with Moore on the bench.

Patterson won't make a Premier League GK. He has barely improved 150+ games later and consistently has a goals prevented rate that has him exactly mid-table in the Championship.

People look at age but there's a far better correlation between games played rather than age, and he's relatively experienced considering the amount of games he has played.

There's a reason the club have been linked to the likes of Bulka and Petrovic and now signed Roefs, and why newspaper style links of Patterson himself going to PL clubs never had any substance.

This talk of keeping tools sharp and polished is cliched gibberish. He's 25 now, has had 3 full seasons at Championship level playing over 130 games in that division and has been given a lot of rope during that time too. It's not going to happen for him at the highest level, and the club are obviously wise to that too given our attempts to sign a GK all summer.

^^^^
Not the situation

Barely improved in 150+ games for the club 😅😅😅

Off your fking tits

I’m not Patto’s biggest fan but that’s just not true , he’s a solid keeper , good shot stopper but his distribution is too poor to play in the PL as a no1 choice keeper in my opinion
Why did he underperform xGa significantly then?

It’s a myth thats why

No chance Patterson is warming the bench. If this lad comes in as No 1, Patterson will be sold. He's pure profit, probably as valuable now as he ever would be. Daft to keep an asset on the bench.

That's the more likely scenario with Patterson leaving the club and boosting the transfer kitty.

Seems very fishy doent it...him been named number 1 publicly and Pattos lack of match time

Then we will need another keeper
Moore may well stay number 2 - given how often he will be used - unless we can get another better keeper on a free or on loan.

If we get a second keeper as you say then both Moore and Patto may go.

We also have the Cameroonian keeper to think about.

We can't go in to a premier league season with Moore as our number 2. It's not uncommon for number 2 keepers to end up play 10-15 games over a season if an injury is picked up. That would leave us with a big problem

You could be right…..but I think that we have lined Patto up with another club and have just been looking to get a replacement over the line.

I would be VERY happy if Patto stays, but I simply would not be surprised if he signs for someone else.

If that's true then he wont be coming here to warm the bench, so Patterson has a decision to make now.
It says in the article from Ornstein that he's coming to be number 1.

Perhaps it'll be Sam Johnstone as our number 2?
