By all accounts one of the best young goalkeeper prospects, small fee and gives us much needed competition for a crucial position for a relatively small fee.

Far happier with this than spending £25 million (and probably 3-4x the wage) on Ramsdale.

It's a big upgrade on just Patterson with no risk of ever losing his place in the side. I suspect Patto will start against West Ham, but why drop in form and this lad will get his chance.

Wouldn't be suprised to see Patto go to Southampton if the Mags get Ramsdale

I am pleased with this ,looks to have it all and think we should keep Patto aswell as competition.

We've signed him to be number 1 IMO

if lille and ajax were in for him, why would he come to us and sit on the bench ?

he's starting every game now and wants to get into the Holland senior squad. I very much doubt hes left to sit on the bench.

We need 2 keepers of a decent level. Can't risk going into a Premier League match with Simon Moore or Blondy in goal. Can't expect a 22 year old keeper in only his 2nd season to be a smashing success as an ever present in the Prem from day 1. We need both options.

He was named as the best goalkeeper in Netherlands, also named the best keeper at EuroU21, he can't stop winning awards already. Seems like an absolute gem and future soon-to-be Netherlands no.1.

From a pal who's a NEC season ticket holder...

He was excellent for us. Very young but made a real good impression. He is very tall and picks a lot of high balls. Not afraid to leave his goal. Great stats. However, premier league is a different story than our league.
Roefs is the U21 goal keeper and people here believe he will be the Dutch national goalkeeper

You can collate all the good saves on you tube, but coming and being commanding in the box is just as important.
