Greek Island Holiday Help

Booked for there next year, might be a bit quieter than our usual places, but you don't know until you try.
We enjoy Lassi. our accommodation is virtually on the main road. there is a bus route direct to argostoli and the ferry for across the bay. Lots of good tavernas. Dont really know about the nightlife as we go out and eat, couple of drinks. certainly not many if any clubs in lassi. it all depends on taste

We're just off the main road.

Too old for clubs. Go out round 8ish drink, food then a few beers. Rarely out after 1-1.30 but like to be somewhere with a few to choose from. Looks a nice place and as long as there a few places open after 12 we'll be fine.

Probably have a day in Argostoli but that'll be it, we rarely travel about much

Hope nobody is being affected by the fires

We've landed in Zante today and it appears to be much less awful than yesterday

However another warnings gone out to evacuate areas near the fires

The wind makes it worse, along with the high temperatures. I hope none of you are dealing with the many wildfires… It’s such a shame when people just want to enjoy a few days of their holiday but have to go through situations like this, especially when human lives are at risk.

We go there in September. Our lass wanted to go to some cave bar but apparently it's been gutted by the fires 🥹🥹

I spent yesterday round the pool watching firefighting helicopters and these weird little sea planes bombing about. We’re miles away from the fires like (Argasi) only saw one whirlybird this morning so I’m assuming they’re on top of it or operating from somewhere else that doesn’t pass us.

That’s where we went last year, loved it. Just wish it hadn’t been as hot so we could be arsed to do more. Made it relaxing though. Loads of good restaurants along that main street.

How's Argassi? Went there about 30 years ago, assume its a bit bigger now.

Loved Tsilivi earlier this year mind so if we do go back to Zante it'll probably be there.

It’s lovely but we haven’t done much as it’s so fekking hot. Still 36c at 6pm last night. I’m goosed walking to the pool bar and back  Probably have a bimble down the strip tonight later on. I love Tsilivi, been a few times, the boomerang bar is chos.

Your two posts there sound like us last year  . Had planned on day trips out and that but as you say, walking to the pool was tiring enough. Was late 30s and feels like temps of mid 40s when we were there.

Have you been to Target (the restaurant)? Highly recommend if not. It’s quite high up in the hills overlooking all of Argassi and the sea. Spectacular views and setting. A thunder and lightning storm rolled in just as we were finishing up so we watched that before our taxi picked us up.
