Does Charis Mavrias' folks still have the bar in town?Di Paliei, next door to Ark Bar. Great location, nice enough room, but some of the ground floor rooms are bit poky, and the ones at the front are above a supermarket. Pool was fine, only once struggled to get a bed mid afternoon.
We like the space of an apartment rather than a studio so we're a bit limited as lots of Greece seems to have far more studios than apartments. We're always s/c so never really look at hotels, and are never after anything fancy.
We stayed at Petros once and the restaurants up that end were nice. Bit of a treck to the main bit like, and the beach.
Valentinas Castle just down the road, tiny and out the way was wonderful though. Highly recommend it
Always make a trip to Menir Taverna near where you stayed top regardless of where weve booked, and Freddies bar

They did last summer with plenty of his old Sunderland shirts on the walls.
We ate in a nice place called The Halfway House last August in Tsvili. I know it sounds like a pub in England but it was a quite fancy restaurant. Bait tremendous and I don’t remember the prices being bad. We were staying in Argassi but had mates over in Tsvili so spent the day up there visiting them.We stayed at Petros once and the restaurants up that end were nice. Which bar is the mavrias one, for next year when we no doubt book upParadise Bar was the furthest we went down that end of town. We'll go back to Tsilivi but doing Kefalonia next year then hopefully Skiathos in 27, ticks off another 2 islands for me.
First time in Greece for almost 20 years and got the bug again so at least one of our holidays each year will be Geeece I think.
Yep, was in there last month.

Just sorting our itinerary for crete in September, I'm out for 25 days . My mate goes out in august, two of us join him . 1 goes home after a week ,then another lad comes out for 2 weeks . Travelling about the islandCurrently 32 in Crete, very light breeze. We've both been to Chania before, wouldn't have minded another visit but it's about 90 miles away. Not an option in this heat!
We're in AI in Agia Pelagia. The onsite, paid for al la carte restaurant is superb and the food generally is very good. Went into town last night. The prom down the front is crawling with restaurants and people in a good way. Had seafood, nice.
Yamas.
It’s only the shit flight times that stop me going back to CreteJust sorting our itinerary for crete in September, I'm out for 25 days . My mate goes out in august, two of us join him . 1 goes home after a week ,then another lad comes out for 2 weeks . Travelling about the island

We just got back from Skiathos a couple of weeks back, our first ever time in Greece. Fantastic place, loved it. We got informed by TUI a week before we flew that our hotel in Troulos had overbooked so we got moved to Koukounaries but it was never an issue. Still in a nice place, with a bus stop outside, the water taxi (bloody speedboat!) to town round the corner and loads of tavernas and bars around too.We are in skiathos at the moment with kids 9 & 14 and are thinking of booking up for next year.
We went in there last year - prices were manageable if you caught 'Happy Hour', after that they were ridiculous.Noticed last year its getting very busy and more cosmopolitan..paid 30 euros for 2 drinks on the steps bar, just under Lo & La.
due to go there, Lassi in just over a fortnight. been there numerous times and just love it.I’ve already booked up our return to Kefalonia next June which will make it four years out of five.
