Can't stop watching Tommy Watson (ROCKETMAN)

Picking people out in the crowd during the build up, and their reaction after it goes in, goosebumps every single time

I will swear until I die I watched that in slow motion on the day in the crowd. An inch to the right hits the post an inch to the left goalie touches it round. When it went in a split split split second of silence then total scenes. With my boy next to me … ‘till I die, ‘till I die.

Absolutely a “time stood still” moment. Amazing how quickly the brain works

Totally agree with this marra.

I wasn't too far away from it really but at an angle. I swear there was a second of pure silence while the ball was in the net before people around me realized what had happened. When he hit the strike it didn't look like it was going in so it was sheer disbelief, then bedlam.

I was dead centre of the goal and as soon as it left his foot you could see the bend was bringing it round.
I had one of my Lads on my left and my mate and his lad on my right and in that split second in time there was nowhere better on earth to be.

Had a few beers tonight and the Mrs has gone to bed.

Perfect time to watch the play off final from start to finish.

Haway Sunderland. Til the end.
Done that about 15 times already, bar the Mrs bit as she left me a while ago -- so I can stay up as long as I want.

Imagine, he wouldn't have been near the squad if the nugget squad had their way. That magical moment in time would have been lost, like tears in the rain. ;)
He would have been dropped if not for lack of options on the wing, IN MY OPINION, after those 3 PATHETIC 'do-not-get-injured' shifts he put in after the leaving announcement. Never seen a more disinterested player in red and white since Rodwell.

Lucky he got that goal or he would have been a pariah in Sunderland. I bet he was gutted he bailed on his hometown club when we got promoted, realising this was the best place for him. If only he never shot his bolt and waited until the window opened before making that decision, oh well the stupidity of youth! (and greedy agents).
