The only problem with that is a lot of our "easier" games fall within that first few weeks.

We really need players in and ready to go from day one, in particular at GK and CB now.

Easy for me to say as it's not my money, but I'd advocate spending a bit more to get the deals done quicker, if they're at that stage, due to the importance on our first handful of games.

Totally agree. And yes you could advocate that shopping early might result in us paying a bit more to get the other deals done BUT on the other hand you often need to overpay in the end of the window as well, especially if you havent got the players you been targeting.

So in the end we will probably overpay anyhow...so GET EM ALL SIGNED NOW!

This is my all time favourite transfer window already!
