I just see Leeds as another big but not mega club with good history that are now pretty average, same we have been for a long time too. I personally have nothing against them and know a few Leeds fans who are all decent and wanted us to win playoffs.

However, football wise, not only have they been average or worse in recent times, again, just like us. But to make matters worse they haven't been through the new stadium problem that practically every club has progressed past now.

So I can't see Leeds returning to any former glories for a while yet as when they do build a new stadium they will be affected financially I would have thought.

Personally I'm delighted Leeds are in the premier League. I'd much rather have a big northern club like them over some tin pot southern club which is punching above their weight on the merit of location and knowledgeable owners. Well done Leeds!
That being said claiming you're as big as atletico Madrid when half the league have more league titles than you is hilarious 😂

Sunderland have done nothing for around 100 years. A stadium that is too big and half empty.

Easy to be wise after the event but extending after only 3 seasons was too quickly. It was only several years earlier that we couldn't even sell out Roker Park Better to have a longer period of demand outstripping supply and prove that we had the fanbase to sustain the extra capacity...
