Love this thread, don’t want it to ever end. In 10 years time hopefully it’s still going and he can come back as the manager.

If he’d had another top season at championship level I doubt we’d have signed the wingers we have
Not sure that is true given we have looked to replace everyone in the play-off XI bar Hume, Le Fee and Mayenda so far. Even Ballard will be at risk if we get two centre halves.

Adingra has a much higher ceiling in my opinion, for only another £5m…

Amazed Lazio haven’t bid £30m for that’s what loads thought he was worth

Very good championship player at best

The extra £2.5m in his bank account will lighten the blow though.

Well, not really since he could have made a lot more in the long term by choosing a better career path. So in the long run he's likely to be poorer as well as in a worse footballing position. He should sack Harte and get an agent that knows what he's doing.

Hard to say as he never got a run with Ipswich from what I could tell.

But whenever I did see him for them, it was interesting to see him trying the same things that worked so well for him here in the Championship and getting nowhere in the Prem. Eased our wide by a savvy defender, tackled before he could get a shot away, lacking the legs to get past anyone, or just given nowhere near the time and space we saw him get.

Clearly a good player, reckon he's gonna be effective this season if given the chance, but needs to mix up his game if he gets another chance in Prem.

Definitely an ill-advised decision from him to leave. We got a really decent fee for him so I can't complain and I never hold it against any player who wants to go to a Premier League club.

That being said, they were dead on favourites to go down, weren't they? Really daft in hindsight.

He will be back in the premier league next season as Ipswich will surely piss the championship.
They really aren't that good. Already lost their best striker, their captain and their best attacking midfielder is off to Brentford iirc. I wouldn't be surprised if they finish in the playoffs.

A forward line of broadhead, Hirst and szmodics is a bit meh.
