Not seen a lot of him play but he seems a steady away type playing in a team with better players around him. Never set the world on fire, not attracted interest from anywhere else and final stages (last year?) of his contract. He will bring PL experience, but I doubt he's going to be marshaling the midfield and dragging the team forward.

IF I supported Leeds I'd be bitterly disappointed after being gazumped TWICE on targets.

We're now linked to Stach. Tanaka, Longstaff, Stach and Ampadu look like decent options really. If we do end up with Stach and Longstaff then it be clear we weren't 'gazumped' at all.

We're also now linked to Muniz and Paixão so there are evidently levels to this game. Bless you lot for getting giddy early on in the window though :lol:

You could hardly be " gazumped " on Longstaff since nobody else was interested in him.

The fact you paid £12 million for a ( at very best ) £10 million player suggests you " gazumped " yourself.

One-way to beat off the non existent competition for Longstaff, I suppose 😃

I’m done with you now but if the TLG wants me to come on ‘from the bench’ I’m always happy to cover a tiring midfielder so you can catch your breath
 
Im guessing Leeds had Longstaff a little bit further down their list of targets than the likes of Diarra and Sadiki etc. I rather pleased to have got those lads in rather than Longstaff, who I reckon will soon find he is a championship standard midfielder.

Or you were ‘gazumped’ meaning you moved onto your 2nd choice signings which you managed to get over the line because the bigger clubs weren’t interested in competing with you for this level of player.

They also had the Jock (name escapes me) who successive managers appeared to want rid of. Wasn’t deemed good enough. Bit of a plodder. Went to Napoli and was superb. Time will tell. I think, for that fee, it is a solid buy.
