England v India - Third Test, 10/07

Better side mate, better bowlers.

Better style than previous regime facts speak for themselves
Certainly better bowlers and there was an improvement initially from a very low starting point. But the point is that Bazball doesn't work against a quality bowling attack and England can't/won't adapt. This was always the criticism/reservation, which you wouldn't accept, about the one size fits all Bazball approach. It was clearly an accident waiting to happen. We're back to square one.
Opposition teams analyse Bazball technique and quickly exploit any weaknesses.

That’s insane. Only the openers were caught in this innings, everyone else bar Pope who was LBW anyway has been bowled.

If India do win by say 7 or 8 wickets it’ll be interesting to see what changes are made. Crawley for example has never been great but I don’t think he’s ever looked this bad. I think his head has completely gone.
The openers weren't bowled, but they both threw their wickets away.
As said Crawley and Pope aren't good enough imo, regardless of what "style" of cricket we are playing.
It's not like we've tried to go at 6 an over this innings.

I’m laying this all on the big three. Root , brook and stokes

They should be ashamed at their dismissals today and they are all top top players with root being the greatest England batsman ever

However

If by some miracle we get out of this , that last few posts will be bumped to hell

Personally I hope they are as England win
Don’t forget Duckett who set the tone this morning with an utterly brainless dismissal.

Anyway I've calmed down now.

Let's hope we can make it difficult at least with the ball. I just don't see us having the same impact the Indian bowlers have had.

It would be funny for us to all look stupid if we did.

There will be dove of this England team in August will play no games at all for their counties

They don’t play in the 50 over games anymore , no championship usually in that month

So if no 16.4 contract what do they do ?

Peak summer in England and our top players are doing nothing

The other thing about that 11 players bowled stat, it wouldn’t surprise me if we haven’t even bowled 11 deliveries that would’ve hit the stumps.

This current India team is better than England, not sure how you of all people can dispute that?

Especially since you spent a considerable time on this board over last few days saying they outplayed us for all but one day in the series?

On one hand you saying our spinner shit ( agreed)

On another you state how bad some of our batsman and constantly saying we been outplayed.

So all that equates to them been the better team surely?

I’d love it to be so but reserve the right to criticise numbskull batting

Nice to have a bit of interest but aye, it looks ominous currently. Still, I can enjoy a 5 nowt whitewash if there's good cricket. Even in the Ashes
I am being somewhat reactionary.

I just get so frustrated at this side. I thought in looked like in 2022 we might end up becoming the best side in the world.

We're a long way back in 4th as it stands.

Remember where they used to say play a few state games to get in form for an ashes in Australia

Maybe the England team could play a few county games to get in form

It’s radical but you never know

We are a touring team home and away

So it’s all down to the style not the fact they better bowlers and different style would have been bowled out as well?

Have you heard of the phenomenon of ‘underperforming’?

It’s the same phenomenon that means that great football teams still often lose matches to relegation threatened sides.
