The Premier League

Has the premier league massively changed since the last time we were there, I think if we just survive the 1st season we will be ok then kick on.

Thoughts.

It is unrecognisable. From the ticket prices to the atmospheres, to the dynamic tactics, data driven analysis, and Video Action Replay.

It's changed massively, the money for a start our records was £13m back then and we've more than doubled it now. Even mid table teams have players going to real Madrid and that. It's mad

Been recommended a lot of our older prem games on youtube and I never realised how many games were 442 against 442. Won't see that at all anymore

I watched something and the bloke stated if Forest drop 5 to 6 places they've basically sold Elanka, I've certainly butchered that name, for 20 million when you factor the prize money in.

You've just got to look at how much we've spent and compare that to our record signings before and were still one of favourites to go down.

New grounds, new regular teams like Brentford etc, VAR, its totally different to when we were last there I think.

I hate the whole thing. If we weren’t in it I wouldn’t be back watching it or taking an interest in the comings and goings of the league.

If feels like anti-football at this point. Finances and whose for the biggest legal teams seem to be more important than the starting XI.
There is a little bit of hope because it does seem the Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouths are doing things the right way. These are teams that should be nowhere near the progression they are. It's refreshing, especially considering we have a very similar model or so it seems.

Maybe they are isolated cases but the entity of the PL just doesn’t sit well with me.

Football tourism and legal clashes on a par with actual fixtures.

I am invested cos SAFC are in it. That’s all.

We won’t survive anyone who thinks we will is sadly deluded. After our huge spending spree the betting markets have us getting 26 points and being relegated 15 points behind 4th bottom.

We are going down. Anyone who thinks we aren’t is in afraid struggling with reality.
That’s the spirit.

I’ve said previously the outcome doesn’t really bother me as long as we give it a proper go in terms of recruitment, playing style and making adjustments to give us the best chances to compete - not like Southampton and Ipswich sticking rigidly to their “playing identity” and give away shit goals regularly.

So far the club have done well and are seemingly recruiting well - let’s see how they play is next!

But far too early to be so negative, plenty time for that.

OK Southern Monkey.

We'll be fine, bookies work by people betting. We'll be okay

Most negative poster ever. Betting market says this betting market says that. Not top 4 last season despite never being out of the top 4. Okay we tossed the last games away but there was method in the madness and it absolutely worked. Repeatedly said we won't get promoted, le fee is class and then le fee isn't value for money then this changed to le fee being run of the mill signing. Each signing gives us an extra point. Etc etc etc etc. imagine being this negative man
Last time Sunderland were in the Premier League, there were millionaire owners ... now there are billionaire owners.
Everyone is owned by a billionaire these days. They can't spend it though, what a shame
