You're the ones saying he'll bring on the young lads, the same young lads who've went through promotions and came from behind in tough games to show a togetherness.

Now your mate is saying the club are clueless because they aren't signing Henderson and we'll struggle because of it!....damn right I'm laughing! 😆

I have been complimentary regarding the recruitment however we are way short on premiership nous. JH would give us that with spades. I would love to know the rationale and why Speakman seams reluctant to have a big character around the place who has achieved way more than anyone currently at the club.

As a general point this is a football message board, I have an opinion as do you so I’m not sure why i need to wind my neck in.

I’m saying we need some premier league nous to complement the young lads.

If we get off to a poor start we will needs some real leadership and I couldn’t think of anyone we could attract in our current position who would be better than JH.

Who said its Speakman that doesn't want him? It could be the manager, like when Lee Johnson reportedly didn't want Defoe and was ultimately proven correct tbf to him.

Ghisolfi has huge say now and RLB clearly does on transfers aswell. But nah, all Speakmans fault, boooooooo.

They haven’t any experience of the premier league which will be way more brutal than div3 or div2

Speakman is in charge of recruitment but whoever has made the decision at the club it is a poor one and the only rationale I can see is they don’t want a big character around the place who will likely question things if they ain’t right. Given JH has won everything as a captain and if I was in their shoes I would welcome him with open arms for the food of the club.

It would be wrong to make any comment about the ability of the lads we have signed as I like most of us know very little about them.

What I would say it has to be a concern that we will lose all of them excluding Le Fee in Dec for 2 to 4 weeks. The age of three of them totalling 62 and two of them are from with the greatest respect from a very average league in Belgium. It’s a calculated but hopefully the lads will prove to be exceptionally good signings. We are going into a league where it takes no prisoners and where for past two seasons all three teams have come straight back down. I watched a side last season that on many occasions wasn’t particularly good to watch, we got promoted and all credit has rightly been given to RLB. We all have our views but surely we need some greater experience to help what is going to be the youngest side in the PL.
