Wayne Rooney - sacked

I fully expected him to be an absolute potato but every time I've seen him I've been surprised. He's a good pundit tbh, certainly far far better than I ever thought he would be.

Not commenting on the reported money he's getting as I don't massively care.

Disagree on Sturridge who I have liked the few times I've seen him, but otherwise totally agree
Must just be me then, I find Rooney an awful pundit.

Actually think he's a decent pundit. Got a lot of insight and isn't scared to give opinions. He struggles to get them across coherently but I'd rather that than someone like Ferdinand who speaks confidently but talks absolute inane bollocks.

They’ve gone for him because they know there’s not a chance on earth he is going to be capable of expressing a political opinion!

I know he’s been a pundit on and off for a season or two but I do find he’s getting better at the speaking side.

I can remember when Neville first started, he was an absolute car wreck.
So are you saying he should be paid £400K whilst he's learning how to do the minimum of speaking in the studio about players and a game of football? You must be joking. My grandchildren at school can speak better than Rooney but, of course, they don't have a footballing reputation to defend in public. Yes, Rooney was a good footballer in his day but his speaking and eloquence has always been lacking and to let him speak about important Premiership games of football is just an insult to the intelligence of the average fan.

As a football ,what a career Wayne Rooney had. Hes a multi millionaire but still "as down to earth" as he was from early days at Everton. I quite like him, and even though he didnt set the world alight in management hes well qualified as a pundit. Never hides does Wayne . The money is probably irrelevant to him in fact his wife earns more than he does..

Where did I mention anything about his wage? You need to calm yourself down you sound absolutely mental. How is having Rooney talk about premier league football an insult to your intelligence? The blokes won it all domestically. He was more than a good player as well, he’s one of the best players this country has produced.

My main point still stands, Neville, Lineker or whoever were all absolutely shit when they first started and they were hardly covering league two games or what have you earning pennies. They went straight into Sky, ITV, and BBC.
