Petrovic

He’s not shite.

Good enough for Arsenal, maybe not. But not shite.
His data at arsenal was woeful. He was conceding more goals than what woyod be expected from the shots he faced. Whereas Raya outperformed his.

Hes a bit crap like. Not like I expect us to sign him like because his cost would be a joke.

It wasn’t. He was a middling PL keeper and they wanted an elite one.

I don’t think we should buy him because of the English tax. But he’s not as bad as people are making out.

Pinched from OTR

20/21: 56.3 xGOT faced vs 63 goals conceded

21/22: 39.2 xGOT faced vs 39 goals conceded

22/23: 40.8 xGOT faced vs 43 goals conceded

24/25: 66.2 xGOT faced vs 66 goals conceded

I don't have his data for the 19/20 season and he barely played in 23/24.

So he either wildly underperforms or just performs to a standard level. Bad bad bad.

@Comeback_Kenwyne his data was awful. It was well reported at the time when arsenal signed Raya. Statistically they were complete polar opposites.

There’s a reason Arsenal binned him off
Because he wasnt top tier. We aren't arsenal. (Not that i would sign him as he just seems coated in failures now, but pointless comparing a team going for the title and deciding hes not good enough, to a team just promoted)

He's in the bottom 35% percentile for Goalkeepers for saves made at 67%.

He's also in the bottom 23% percentile for preventing expected goals.

You would expect him to perform a hell of a lot higher on both metrics, given the level of activity he will have to do through a game. In summary, he's shite and the data says no.

I'm not saying hes good. But the reason for Arsenal moving him on wouldn't be relevant to us was my point. We wouldn't be signing players that Arsenal deemed good enough. More the opinions of the teams in our position that have had him

We love looking at the data too and even I didn't expect it to look like that. Would be shocked if this is the case now...
