Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)


Seems pretty obvious to me.

We still have our main targets and a maximum price in mind for each one. We need to focus on getting these in first. Some may require additional funds to get over the line.

Once we've got our main targets in, we see what we have left and see if Henderson is feasible.


At 35 years old, you can't rule out the possibility that we end up with a player who can't last 90 mins and who gets pushed down the pecking order by younger prospects outperforming him. His wages may be better spent elsewhere.

for speakman to decide, would make sense to me if was 2year and no longer , much needed experience and influence in the dressing room also
 
I understand people’s reservations with this one. I personally think this would be an unbelievable signing in so many ways. But, if the club don’t feel that way then I have complete faith in their decision making
 
I don't know why it's thought to be Speakman who is unenthusiastic about Henderson . Speakman is now the "Sporting Director" of SAFC.

Florent Ghisolfi is the current Director of Football. Perhaps Ghisolfi doesn't fancy Hendo and being new to the Club is less prone to any sentiment.

That's not counting Hendo's own preference of course.
