Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

I'm not saying he'd wouldn't be of use, you fool have a look back at what I've said man ffs!

The club will have definitely looked into signing him, but theres something either on the clubs part or Henderson himself that is working to get a deal done.

You're saying opposition players will be falling at his feet if he comes, and that's complete and utter bollocks!

He's not going to be playing much for England btw, that's just to help Tuchel settle in whilst Henderson does a lot of media work and press.

I'm saying Henderson has the respect of opposition players because of what he has achieved. This is clearly true.

He is widely respected among players, supporters and media. I'm not sure why this fact upsets you so much.

He is one of our own. Of course we should big him up.

Henderson would be a great signing. He's a current and key England international and would be an excellent influence on the younger players. I wonder if our supposed lack of interest is linked with the possibility of Dan Neil signing a new contract. You can have too many midfielders.

Getting interesting local press pouring cold water with foreign press say it’s happening.

I suspect the club are briefing the local press and his agent is speaking to the foreign press.

It’s clear he wants to come but the club are not interested. Surely worth the gamble.

Or maybe the club are planting this in the media to strengthen their negotiating position. I'd imagine Hendo will still want a significant wage...

I think his current England selection is, to a certain extent to help Tuchel settle in. It's short term. He's not a 'key' selection for the future.
The teams in our current qualifying group are hardly world beaters. Albania, Serbia, Latvia and Andorra are easy opposition for Henderson. I'm not sure he's not going to be selected to play Spain, France or Brazil?

*Will be great signing for us BTW if it does happen. 😍

He’s not even got his coaching badges yet, he’s hardly going to be trying to undermine the manager to get a job he isn’t even qualified for is he?
Happens all the time when the players have had better careers than the manager it can cause bother as the can think they know better than the manager

Henderson, Diarra, Le Fee, Neil, Sadiki, Rigg

Jones, Aleksik loan

Matete, Ekwah sold. Browne rumoured to want first team football.

Decision to be made on Triantis. His agent quoted that he needs to be an important player this season. Likely to be away now we’re in the top flight.

A deal still to be done for Neil too

Signing Henderson makes perfect sense, especially given 2 of those central midfielders will miss a chunk due to afcon

What has HE said or done to suggest this?

He has only just become a free agent although i am sure talks have happened before. How them talks went i don't know and i know it was mentioned him and Speakman didn't get along but that could and probably is total bollocks. I think and hope we do sign him but it was interesting hearing RLB interview just then and him saying we don't want too many different voices in the changing room. I hope I am putting 2 plus 2 and coming up with 5 as I don't see Hendo been the outspoken Keane character and would carry out the managers instructions on the pitch and off it and he is a model pro so I would give him the armband myself.

How the other players see this transfer window will be very important as we don't want to put their noses out of joint and need to give them financial incentives as well . They all have to know that we are going for it and accept changes will happen to progress sus but keeping that spirit going will be tough for RLB and co . Personally I think Hendo would be perfect to help

He was spotted ordering the new away shirt with "He's coming home!" on the back .
