Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

Henderson will want and need to be a guaranteed starter to make the world cup squad, we were never agreeing to that, correct decision for me.

Henderson is (what appears) to be a nice guy. I still think he's a good option and may work out for us. BUT....
I think we need a right c**t to be running midfield, someone like Roy Keane, so we can boss this League. Then the creative players like Le Fée (Scholes) Mundle (Beckham) and Mayenda (Cole) would be free to run riot 🤔 😜

*I've no idea who this 'boss' would be, maybe a mature seasoned French or Italian hardman?

The point is Henderson is a recognisable name in world football.

He could drop back into the Premier League and most opposition players will know who he is and respect what he has achieved.

Who else in our squad can we say that about? It's not a dig at our current squad I've already said we have some talented youngsters.

But none of them have the experience or have achieved what Henderson has.

Not one player would give a toss who he is when the whistle goes. Plus, he's been out of the PL a few years and has been cruising since. We're back in the PL and are still one of the favourites for relegation. There's not one team in the league that will be giving us any respect, it'll have to be earned, and rightly so.

Nothing sentimental about a JH return. It would be an excellent move based on talent, experience and influence. I am absolutely against sentiment in every regard, especially holding on to players who got us promoted but won't cut it at the top level.
My only interest is seeing Sunderland AFC as an established top flight club. It's been a long time with many false dawns.
Jordan Henderson would contribute hugely to achieving this. It would be of immense mutual benefit and the club should go all out to secure his services.
Agree, sad to hear the club are not pursuing this. They may have someone lined up.

Funny how you turncoat bastards spat on Wor Bobby then put on the crocodile tears when he died. Repulsive *****.
Why are you automatically assuming I'm a Newcastle fan because I pointed out something fickle? Just look at my previous posts and you'll see I prefer Sunderland over Newcastle.

Good enough to captain Ajax and still getting called up for England.

But would be no use for Sunderland?

I’d challenge you to go watch Ajax games but you’d probably still think he was the next messiah

it’s not our style of play I wouldn’t want us to change it now
Jeeze. We've just signed 5 brand new players and sold a key player. How can anybody know what our style of play will evolve into?

Even Le Bris said in his interview: "We expect a huge change because we will play in the beat league in the world"

I'm not saying he'd wouldn't be of use, you fool have a look back at what I've said man ffs!

The club will have definitely looked into signing him, but theres something either on the clubs part or Henderson himself that is working to get a deal done.

You're saying opposition players will be falling at his feet if he comes, and that's complete and utter bollocks!

He's not going to be playing much for England btw, that's just to help Tuchel settle in whilst Henderson does a lot of media work and press.
