Be a shame but I've always been doubtful about this one since the initial story wasn't quickly wasn't quickly followed up with a "here we go".

It looks to me like me aren't messing about and if there's a deal to be done we'll get it done quickly.

I also don't think we are in a position yet to see off competition from established PL clubs, either financially or in terms of general appeal - most of football is expecting us to be relegated after all.

Tricky situation with Patterson too because we've made it very obvious we're trying to replace him, and now we'll have to do so with at least our third choice target.

To go from the two keepers we've missed out on to Sam Johnstone on loan is too much of a difference in my opinion.

I can see Johnstone signing but only as a No.2 if we sell Patterson
 
Wouldn’t be surprised if we’re getting a “here we go” on another keeper this week, seems a priority position to improve,
 
Patto must be pissing himself at all these keepers not coming😂

This is why Romano is the god of transfers. I’m sure we’ll have another keeper on the list to go after.

I’d be astonished if we went for Johnstone tbh.
