managed to get accross and cover his post?

I've just read the breakdown of the lead up to the goal (quoted on here and in another thread on the board) and I presumed it was just a really well hit shot and the keeper was slightly unsighted, so slowed his reaction. According to that thread Cooper was bouncing to see over when the shot was hit, which slows down any potential reaction, then lands and puts himself on his wrong foot when landing to push off on which slows down and limits where he can get to.

The goal was beautiful thing and I don't want to take anything away from it, but it was so far out he maybe should have done better.

Ive read that massive over analysis and watched it back and I still don't see he's done anything wrong. It curls from outside the post and in.

Over analysis 😀

It's hardly a rocket and from miles out, albeit very well placed. It goes in because he doesn't get accross and cover his post - if he manages that it simply isnt a goal. If he hadn't been jumping and had seen it late he might still have had time to get accross. He doesn't give himself that opportunity though because of the last bounce.

it just emphasises he's not as good as some on here make out.
