Think him and Neil will go
Two obvious weak links in some regards.
Patterson - distribution and commanding box.
Neil - being caught in possession, first touch (often in dangerous positions)
Both these areas will be ruthlessly punished at PL level.
As Cloughie used to say, if they haven't got the ball, they can't hurt you and if you lend them it, get it back quick.
I also think both will go.

I think commanding of a box is a thing of the past tbh, I can't think of many (if any ) keepers that do it these days
The way balls move all over the place and are miles quicker than years ago make it very difficult to do.

I accept that and should rephrase my criticism of Patterson. Doesn't come off his line nearly enough particularly for corners and crosses from the flanks. That's what I meant by 'commanding'.

That's more than fair, it's a criticism of a lot of keepers these days tbh. I like Patto but I'm not sure he'll want to be a no.2 keeper after being a 1st team regular for nigh on 3 and a half seasons

I would like to think they’ll both stay and fight for their places. Both might improve by training and playing with better players.
I also wouldn’t like to lose the local element from our squad
