Surrey v Durham CC 2025

Surely we have to release Drissell when he’s contract is up 26 first class wickets at 60 and he’s 26 years of age so not getting any better.

Parkinson is not great in this format but it’s 197 wickets at 41.

If you’re a bowler yiur spitting feathers here
He’s bowled Drisell to a point where it’s got embarrassing for the lad figures wise horse has bolted share the pain around surely from moral perspective

Mind, 4 out of 9 games this round has first innings scores of 500+. One in 400s, the rest mid to high 300s. Thats a lot of consistent high scores for first innings. All 4 over 500 are still not out as well

Can't see the purpose of Surrey continuing to bat. Surely it's at the stage now where the longer they bat they're decreasing their chances of victory.
Not really. If we bat for two full days we will be up around 800, even across two innings.

Its one reason why teams sometimes choose to bat second on a flat pitch that is predicted to stay flat. In a four day game if you bat too long you aren't going to win. It why we beat Notts. Bowled them out for 400 and then scored 650. You have more clarity on how to win the game.
