Wish I could go to Holland to avoid a huge tax bill who wouldn’t Jesus unbelievableNot many of the general public would turn it down. Elite millionaire sportsman have an easier choice. The fact he went to Holland to avoid a massive tax bill tells its own story.
Exactly, it’s all about money with him.Wish I could go to Holland to avoid a huge tax bill who wouldn’t Jesus unbelievable
You can’t possibly know that.Nope
Let's see.You can’t possibly know that.
It's a pretty boring story now tbh. We've been linked with some CM's that seem a much better age, who have yet to reach their peak. I'm not buying that he'll bring the young lads on that much neither....they've already played a vast amount of games and have 2 Wembley promotions under their belts, they don't seem to get fazed easily.
It's getting to feel like it's all about Henderson and I'm not particularly up for that given the team spirit the lads have already created. If he comes in on low wages and grafts his tits off then fair enough, but I just get the feeling the captain fantastic days of Liverpool are well behind him and he'll struggle with the pace and power of the PL these days.
An unpopular opinion, I know, but I think the club have done a Stella job on looking towards the future rather than go backwards.
Years? 2.It’s a no for me I just don’t see how signing a 35 yr old who’s not played in the PL for years and will demand a serious wage is a good thing. We’re building our own ode Roy this kid of signing isn’t what we’re about.
The likes of Ipswich had top Championship players and they couldn't cope in the Premier League. On paper there's no reason to suggest ours could unfortunately. Bar Le Fee they aren't good enough to start every week.
A current England international with pots of experience certainly can bring loads to the party. He's a model professional, a leader, very vocal and retains shape and the ball. Him or someone very like him is desperately needed in the engine room of our the side.
Anyone who can't see it is living in cloud cuckoo land. Not one of the 6 teams that have came up have had a player with so much class and experience. I suppose Vardy is the exception but he was 37 and is a forward which means he's looking for others to bring him into the game.
His current side have new manager with his own ideas and want to use his £100K a week wage elsewhere.Engine room requires engines. Henderson current club clearly don't think hid engine is up to task and are willing to cut him loose, which is no surprise at his age. The PL is is a much more unforgiving league than the one he's currently in. As I've already said, our lads are a determined bunch, who have proved leadership and a togethernes already....They're not lost little boys.
As for being a current international, let's see if he gets regular game time in that squad. I'm happy to bet a few pints that he doesn't. He didn't exactly pull up any trees against Andorra or proved that he is still a shoe in for the side.
You'll not admit it, but if the lad didn't have Sunderland links, you'd be as sceptical of the move as a few others are, who are thinking if a 35yr old Henderson would really make a difference on the pitch.

Christians would beg to differ.Wish I could go to Holland to avoid a huge tax bill who wouldn’t Jesus unbelievable

I think you might want to look at Margret Byrne who was CEO at the time and signed it off, and then very quickly left and became Cattermole's agent. Just a coincidence obviously but a very strange oneCrikey who was manager then, must have been Steve Bruce.
Phillips had been struggling for a couple years, ever since signing for City basically. He just can't reignite his career.I think Ipswich tried ‘Henderson light’ with Kalvin Phillips who just didn’t work for them. The policy seemed to be cherry pick some of the best championship players from the season before and again they fell well short of the standard required.
I’m really encouraged by the imminent appointment of our new DoF as I think that will signal the start of a transfer window intended to keep us in the league and our signings will reflect that ambition.
Henderson would be a great addition if he’s interested.
