Durham Second XI 2025

Yeh,but 2nds play 12 men but only 11 can bat -one of the bowlers won't bat. And McAlinden is more of a bat than a bowler nowadays.
Ahh fair that would explain that.

Still same as last year daft having players we've just released turning out for us again.

A thoroughly pleasing day out at a charming yet conveniently placed ground. Both teams' innings fizzled out. Had the Armed Forces held a catch when Durham were 8 down and had, I think two to win, a different result may have occurred. I'm sure most will have seen a game here but the hill adds an extra dimension to the game. McKinney was in a diffferent class today batting wise. More than once the ball was slapped out of the ground. Sam Connors to me looks far from being a first class player.
