Durham v Sussex (h) C.C.

Well after a 4 week break we have a short return to the championship cricket with the home match against Sussex. Durham after the first block of 7 matches currently sitting in 6th position and after defeat in their last match at home to Somerset probably looking more vulnerable to that bottom two than most would have hoped or expected.
As far as the team goes I think if all the batsmen are available then they either play 7 including Robinson or make the tough call and leave one out to allow you to play 5 bowlers. As far as bowlers are concerned im not sure who is actually fit or available from last game.

With the weather I reckon they definitely need a front line spinner.
Should be another cracking match as Sussex have certainly surprised and impressed me on their return to the top division.
interested to see what others think should be the Xl to play.

I was going to come up and see this game till I saw the lads Betis friendly and the One Day Cup are only three days apart. My grandfather was from Sussex so it’s a no brainer for me.

wrt Sussex, it feels like they've been in the doldrums for quite a while so I can't begrudge them a few extra successes, just not against us.

Bowling has been a concern and who will play is anyone's guess. Surely Potts will play, England can't hold him back. just to not play for England again, can they?

Doesn’t look as though Coughlin is playing for Hetton Lyons today (despite being named in team on Thursday) so perhaps he is in squad.

Wonder if we finally see Bas De Leede

Wagner's contract commences with the Sussex game according to the initial announcement so perhaps
Lees
McKinney
Gay
Bedingham/Rhodes
Ackerman
Robinson
Clark
Raine
Potts
Wagner
Coughlin/Parkinson.
Warm and Muggy conditions forecast so maybe swing rather than spin.
