Not sure it is mind as still winning at least half the tests and only really struggled in Asia during that time where wickets massively favored spin, so don’t think it can be described as shit or poor, during that time, but agree to disagree mate.I said since 2019. Which includes the 1 in 17. Take 2022 out of it and the rest is poor on the whole.
Going forward however worried as attack now not just poor at spin poor all round which big concern
Yeah there is certainly an argument about the game time, but think genuinely that a moot point.Yep. It had been a worry for some time with the impending retirements of Jimmy and Broad as to who the long term replacements would be and it's really hitting home now. And it's only been compounded by the injuries.
I do also think that we haven't helped ourselves either when looking at replacements. Matthew Fisher, 1 test; Saqib Mahmood, 2 tests; Jamie Overton 1 test; Josh Hull 1 test; Sam Cook 1 test. What are they really going to prove in such a limited amount of games?
As the main issue for me is the quality mainly the lack of it
Been saying for a while spin options really poor and stand by that, but our pace attack got us out of situations and covered lack of spin quality up.
Now both pace and spin attack lack quality massive concern
