Eng vs India - First Test - 20th-24th June

Shoaib is bowling steady and keeping it reasonably tight

Now Ben flatten pant please
.

Wow the old Franklin Stephenson and a fraction away

Stokes getting close here , it’s his fifth over of the spell

Love Stokes bowling full whack. Great sight.

Nick a couple more tonight and we're right back in this... Ha'way man!!

Bash been steady if not spectacular. Not bad for the 1st innings on a road. Still would like a bit more rip on a few deliveries though.

Need fatty bum bum out tonight. Like the tactics to him so far.

Big last hour or so

We get them 5 or better down , it will be an even sort of day

Or these two crash on to 320 plus

It’s glaring how unathletic tongue looks in the field , he only just dragged that back

Desperate for a wicket now. They are looking very comfortable again

What is exactly are the plans for Woakes going forward. Looks finished bowling on pitches like these, surely he’s not going to Australia right?
I didn't want to jump to that conclusion like, but the lack of attention for red ball cricket has shown this summer imo, All due respect to Zimbabwe but that didn't really do anything for England or even Zimbabwe for that matter , must be tougher to get the engine going when you're 36, Jimmy was a freak

Very early days, but bowling looks a bit weak. Hoping Woakes is just rusty but jury is out on flat pitches. Tongue has been unconvincing. Bashir is bowling well to his credit.

It’s a long summer, so time to turn it around mind. Plus Atkinson, Archer, Wood to hopefully come in.

Tongue wants lashing

Headline right there, free from me to Fleet Street
.
Thing is though the rate is under 4. If England had batted today against this attack , I feel we would be 350 plus by now

Be interesting when we get our turn to bat

Yes

Clutching at straws

Tongue is getting nothing through the air nor off the pitch

He just looks a nice pace to milk and odd boundary sadly
