Worcestershire v Durham T20 Blast 18th June

Not enough runs again a recurring theme going back many years our average score is around 160 which is just not enough.

Rhodes aside the batting was utterly pedestrian again fine for 50 over cricket but not dynamic enough for T20.

Ackerman is a fine player in other formats but he’s batted 3 or 4 all season to score at a run a ball.
Totally agree

Hose was plumb lbw to Raine, but the umpire, who in the words of Bobby Thompson looks like a bag of coal on a bike, didn’t give it.

Nearly a quarter of a century, T20 has been in existence yet we still don't seem to have a game plan.
We remain one of only 4 counties never to have won it and we never look like winning it. It’s so bloody frustrating. Would like to know what Campbell and North are trying to do to change that because every year seems to follow the same trend.

I think a lot of my apathy towards T20 is because Durham are so historically bad at it.

Quarter final last year 2nd In the group atm

If we get the batting right then we’ll have a really hard team to beat. Clark gets to 10 and then fumbles. Lees & Ackermann get to 15 of 15 then decide to go for it and get out immediately. So far Rhodes appears to be the only batsman who plays a T20 innings.

A Phil Mustard type player would be ideal but his young 'un doesn't look like he will ever be the answer.

Maybe McKinney will develop into a big hitter if he gets the chance.

Somebody needs to step up

Gonna be a scorching day on Friday. Hope the players and fans can cope with the conditions. I'll probably be doing Sun, Sand, Sea and Sex.

Actually replace those last three with Alcohol and it is a more accurate picture.
