Chris Wilder

90 points , losing in a dramatic play offs final

We’ve all been there and Reid didn’t get sacked and the result was 105 points

They may not be as impressive as getting 90 points next year
They actually won 92 points over 46 games.

It didn't, but to sack a manager who just won 92 points and only lost out on promotion to an injury time goal is madness imo.
They would be one of the favourites for automatic promotion next season (or is it this season now?).
Who knows what went on post match and in the aftermath

He’s very much old school and a dying breed of manager

It would be interesting to look back to see if running across the view of the keeper was a tactic they'd employed during the season with any success, as Souza's movement was definitely deliberate. If he had ran straight out, rather than that step to the right, chances are the goal would have counted and he may have actually been onside anyway.

Just happened to watched Tommys goal again, it’s amazing how many different details you notice, but this one is rather ironic.

It’s Souza who takes up a position that leaves Cooper unsighted to Tommy’s shot.

Now Alanis Morrisette should sing about that

It’s like screening their keeper, when you think you’ve scored
Then blinding your own, as Tommy passes it into the goal
It’s two wrong moves, both in the same damn game
And who would’ve thought… it figures

Effectively 92 points , one late winner and a correct VAR decision so sack him, footballs crazy these days, pressures on their new manager if he has to get 95 points minimum .

They were top of the league in the run up to Easter with one of their promotion rivals and two teams in the drop zone to play. He spewed it big style. I’d have been raging if I was a fan of theirs.

This. with half a dozen games to go they should have been a shoo-in. Not only did he fuck up the run-in, but he fucked up the playoffs too. RLB took the considered view, pissed some people off by ceding the last few games for the greater good and came with a perfectly timed run. small margins and all that, but clear evidence wilder isn't any sort of 'top manager'.
