Sri Lanka v Bangladesh

Raymondo

Central Defender
Hot off the heels of the WTC Final comes an absolute epic encounter for anyone wanting to get their Test Cricket fix in the early part of the week!!

Two Test Series I understand, first match starts at 05:30 (BST) on Tuesday live on TNT Sports 1 from Galle.

I can’t be faffed on and there’s so much watchable stuff elsewhere

I do catch up on their YouTube though with the free highlights

It’s no more faf than logging onto an internet forum ;)
Tremendous day for the Tigers, after falling to 45-3 early on this morning they’ve closed on 292-3.

Mushfiqur has been around for an absolute eternity hasn’t he. Amazing he’ll end up playing 100 test matches for Bangladesh considering they only play about four a year.

SL 127 behind at stumps with 6 wickets in hand. Their best hope is to get as big a lead as possible and hope to bowl Bangladesh out cheaply second time around.

Weather may also play a part.

64 overs of spin helps mind

But it is frustrating how much slower all 3 international formats are compared to their domestic counterparts. IPL aside anyway

Domestic T20 and IPL in particular move at a gnats pace these days. One of the big selling points of the format was how much quicker it was than the others, and whilst still largely true, there are so many delays in mainly IPL games. Strategic timeout? - fuck off.

SL heading for a 500+ total

With pitches in the subcontinent it always seems to be a case of preparing dust bowls when non-Asian teams visit, but when it's two Asian teams playing the wickets are very flat.
